In a bull market everyone is a genius!  That is how I feel now.  But life is fickle--tomorrow I could be the idiot who did not sell my overpriced positions and is wallowing in the depths of despair while my ultra-leveraged portfolio crashes and burns.  Clearly when the market seems to be a one-way street going up, it helps to be leveraged to the hilt and taking a long position in options which is adding more leverage on top of leverage.  But any significant downturn could crush this portfolio, as it has done in the past.

I have changed the portfolio image that I am including each day to show each position's gain (loss) rather than the overall gain (loss) for that position.  This will allow you to better see what happened on that day.  My biggest positions, INOD and QBTS provided most of the gain, TSLA finally showing weakness (because of concern about future sales now that the EV tax credit is gone, even though it has blowout sales numbers far exceeding estimates, likely also due to the expiring EV credits.)  The small position in QBTS options that cost $5,076 two days ago anticipating that the market would go up even with a government shutdown, did quite well today, up $9,558 and is up a total of $11,799 in the past two days.

Today set another record for the largest single day nominal rise--$83,342.77!  If I were unemotional and smart I would probably take the money and run, but I want more (where would humans be if we didn't always want more?)  So I am going to let it ride and see what happens and try to steel myself for when things are not going so well.

Despite the incredible day, Robinhood is showing an "Account deficit" message.  I believe this is because it calculates this prior to the market open and so did not factor in the day's enormous jump in the portfolio's value.  Apparently I can sell existing positions, but cannot open new positions "until this deficit is resolved."  If you are interested, this is the expanded view of the message:

I made no trades today.
