Wednesday, June 8, 2022 -- $27,501.39 (+830.16, +3.11%) KIND went up a little and the portfolio followed suit.  Let's hope for lots more of these non-negative but relatively uneventful days in the coming months!

Tuesday, June 7, 2022 -- $26,671.23 (+2,477.71, +10.24%)

Tuesday, June 7, 2022 -- $26,671.23 (+2,477.71, +10.24%) With another surge in KIND today, the portfolio is up almost 50% over the past two weeks ... and yet it is still down over 70% since inception.  If it were to increase 50% over the next two weeks and then another 50% over the following two weeks, and then another 50% over yet another two weeks, the portfolio would still be down!  There is a really long way to go to just be at break even.

Monday, June 6, 2022 -- $24,193.52 (+$1,798.70, +8.03%)

Monday, June 6, 2022 -- $24,193.52 (+$1,798.70, +8.03%) KIND surged and the portfolio went up.  Unfortunately, as the margin calls resulted in the portfolio having to sell off most of its assets, it did not get the full benefit of the increase in KIND but it did feel the full force of KIND's earlier drop.  Again, STAY AWAY FROM MARGIN INVESTING, unless you feel comfortable losing everything!

Friday, June 3, 2022 -- $22,394.82 (+$0.00, +0.00%)

Friday, June 3, 2022 -- $22,394.82 (+$0.00, +0.00%) The portfolio experienced its first ever "no change" day on a day when the market was open!  Given its performance, this was a better-than-average day!  To make up for it, it plummeted in after-hours trading.

Thursday, June 2, 2022 -- $22,394.82 (+$2,421.33, +12.12%)

Thursday, June 2, 2022 -- $22,394.82 (+$2,421.33, +12.12%) The announced buyback had the desired affect of raising, at least temporarily, the price of the stock.  The theory behind a buyback is that sometimes the market significantly undervalues a company and if the company has available cash on hand, it can use some of that cash to purchase its own shares on the open market for a significant discount from their true value.   Sometimes this works really well, and sometimes the Board of Directors who authorize the purchase are a little too close to the company to value it objectively and the stock, after a short-term rebound, continues to sink.  For the portfolio's sake (and mine too!) let's hope this is the former situation and not the latter one!

Wednesday, June 1, 2022 -- $19,973.49 (-$276.73, -1.37%)

Wednesday, June 1, 2022 -- $19,973.49 (-$276.73, -1.37%) Groundhog Day!  The portfolio is down another $276 today but the afterhours movement in its price may stick because it was motivated by news that KIND's board approved a $100 million share repurchase plan!
